How long do energy storage batteries and UPS batteries last?

LiFePO4 batteries typically last 3,000–5,000 cycles, or 8–15 years in real-world use. Standard Li-ion packs, however, offer 500–1,500 cycles under similar conditions. A well-integrated BMS protects against overcharge and over-discharge, extending overall lifespan. As a result, Himax builds BMS protection into every custom battery pack.
